Event Overview

Now for something compleatly different. At this metal pouring demo,observers will have a rare chance to see old school Chicago metalworking at is finest. We will be melting either bronze or aluminum to cast student projects. During this exciting process, all aspects of metal casting will be explored in question and answer format. All Activities will take place at the Fire Arts Center of Chicago School of Sculpture which has a 20-year track record offering classes and workshop of this type.

Vincent Hawkins

I have taught 20 years at the Bioethics Department at NW University and I am a founding member and current Director of the Fire Arts Center of Chicago. I hold an MFA, BFA, adult teaching certificate, and 30+ years casting experience. I also have 30+ years of martial arts training and hold black belts in Aikido and Taijitsu.
