Event Overview

This isn’t your wimpy, “let’s make a table” welding class. Taught by an instructor with over 20 years experience, this class will give you 12 hours of instruction and practice time. After the course, you will have the opportunity to help build a roll cage. People’s lives will be at stake, so we will teach you to make strong welds that can withstand a crash at high speeds.

The course will focus on MIG welding, which you will likely be using the most for automotive work. It’s a 3 week, 12-hour class. That will be 10 hours of group instruction time and 2 hours of individual time with the instructor to practice and refine your technique. The class will meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7-9pm, beginning Tuesday, January 9 for the first 5 sessions. The 6th session will be scheduled individually with the instructor within 2 weeks of the completion of the 5th session. All students must commit to attending every class as we won’t have the ability to provide makeup sessions.

The dates are January 9, 11, 16, 18, & 23 as well as a 2 hour session with the instructor before February 6.

We will provide the welder, torch, steel, grinder, and gas. The class is limited to 6 people and your slot will be reserved once we receive your payment. At least 4 students must sign up for the class or it will be canceled and students who did sign up will receive a full refund. There will be no refunds once the class is confirmed unless you are able to sell your space to someone else.

The class fee is $1100 and includes all required safety equipment. If you already have, feel free to use promo code "NOGEAR100" for $100 off the class fee to not receive the optional equipment package (welding helmet, safety glasses, welding jacket and gloves.
