Event Overview

Class will include an open format for discussion on the basis of Natural Beekeeping fundamentals, Bio-dynamics, environmental factors for bee health, and plant pollinators. Along with sustainable solutions for the survival of the honey bee. We will be observing and working along side the bees inside 2 hives onsite. You are welcome to work hands on or observe from a far. Please note materials to bring. Class will conclude with honey sampling along with the medicinal benefits of honey & Bee Breathe Closing Ceremony.

What to Bring

Students should bring notepad and pen, Sunscreen and hats. Please wear light colors, pants and long sleeves. No fragrances please.

All ages welcome

What's Provided

All beekeeping equipment including veils.

Rosemary has taken the "Path of the Pollen," studying, teaching, and serving as a bee guardian. Rosemary incorporates her knowledge and passion of Herbalism, Bio-dynamics and Apiculture at "The Lovejoy," an urban garden based in Chicago, IL. Rosemary will show how we can transform our relationship with bees into one of deep partnership, so long term survival is ensured.
