Block Print Your Own Cards
TOP RATED
Arts & DIY
Blockprint is one of many processes at Spudnik Press that can be use to print your own collection of cards. Images can be transferred to or drawn directly on a block, then carved with a gauge to create high-contrast stylized designs.
This is a quick and fun introduction to blockprinting, allowing students to dabble with a new process. Students will arrive with a concept or reference image. Throughout the afternoon, they will learn how to carve that image in relief on a linoleum block, print in black ink using a sign press, and last but not least, clean their block so they can print more down the road.
Students will walk away with 20 handmade greeting cards.
