Simple Structures: Bookmaking with Folded Paper
TOP RATED
Arts & DIY
If we handed you a blank piece of paper and asked you to create something, what would you do?
Would you write a handwritten letter? Or take out a ballpoint pen and doodle?
This Dabble class is challenging you to think outside the box and use every corner of that paper as a chance to fold, press and plait a unique and functional piece of art.
Students will learn to fold 8 simple miniature book structures, each from one single sheet of paper. Then class will advance to exploring a few basic pop-up book techniques, as well as origami book corner bookmarks.
After we're finished creating, we'll end class with a lesson on how to set-up digital files to print around your one-page book structures, so your new tiny books can be filled with the stories you keep close to your heart!
