Event Overview

Camping can be intimidating. There's a lot of planning, research and sometimes tricky equipment to deal with. In this tent and shelter class, we'll learn the parts, pieces, and functions of the whole tent system. We'll set up a variety of tents to cover what you'll likely encounter in using a tent or in purchasing your own. Once we're confident in our tent proficiencies we'll move on to tarps and other kinds of shelters that are commonly used in the outdoors. Whether you need a dry place to prep meals, a place to stretch your legs during rain or even a lighter alternative to a tent, you'll be well versed in how to use various kinds of shelters to make you more confident and comfortable. 

This class will be held outdoors at Belmont Harbor. Meet directly east of the harbor building by the lake and you'll see us with outdoor gear and a table set up.

What's Provided

Adventures Accessed will provide tents, tarps and shelters. Option to grab a beer and socialize at Bitter Pops afterwards. Transportation for up to 11 is available.
