Event Overview

If you're like us, there is never anything special enough to show your Mom how much you appreciate all that she is. This year, go the extra mile and join BANGTEL, CHARLIE BAX, and CHICAGO CANINE RESCUE for a pre-Mother's Day candle making class. Bring a loved one and help raise some funds for our four legged friends!!

Chicago's most fun hospitality and design crew BANGTEL [http://bangtel.com/] has invited LA candle artist Heather Crowe of Charlie Bax [http://charliebax.com/] back home to teach a one time session on her art of soy candle making. All materials will be provided and students will walk away one 13.75oz Oakmoss & Amber and one 7oz Red Currant candle. Beverages will be provided by REVOLUTION BREWING. Our class also doubles as a fundraiser for the Chicago canine Rescue where all proceeds will be donated to the foundation. All pets onsite will be up for adoption so come with an open heart and maybe an open home!! Students do not have to adopt a dog but petting is highly recommended!!

At the end of class, students will be taking home 2 beautiful candles, potentially a new four-legged friend, and a whole lot of good times, all while helping raise money and awareness for a sweet canine charity!!

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

Created, designed and built by Chicago native Heather Crowe, CHARLIE BAX is named after her first true love and the one who reminded her every day that life is about giving more than we take, Charlie (^). Charlie Bax is an artisan based company built on the premise of nothing but pure love and a bizarre passion for up-cycling animal bone - particularly cow femur bone. All of the natural matter left over from her bone candle making process is baked into fresh dog treats that she donates to the Soledad Goat Sanctuary, that is a no-kill animal shelter.
