Event Overview

This demo class is an intro course to basic fermentation, featuring homemade vinegars! Instructor Greg Tefs will lead you through the process for making your own vinegars at home using two different techniques (whole fruit method, and mother starter method).

He’ll demonstrate three different flavors of vinegar- pineapple, black currant, and apple cider- and then demonstrate creative condiment recipes using each of those vinegars. He’ll discuss the basic science behind fermentation, the health benefits of apple cider vinegar, and the necessary supplies and equipment that you need for success.

Tasting samples and recipes will be provided.
