Event Overview

Video is one of the most powerful and engaging ways to tell your story. Whether you want to learn to shoot better video to promote your business, raise awareness for a cause you care about, or to capture your precious family memories, you will learn the basics of how to shoot great video, even if you have never picked up a camera and don't know where to get started.

If you already have a project in mind, and would like some help figuring out how to get it going, we can do that too.

Shuling Yong is a filmmaker with a passion for creating positive social change through media. She has Produced/Directed a short documentary, Growing Roots, which premiered on the Discovery Channel, worked with the Chicago-based multi award-winning production company Kartemquin Films (Hoop Dreams, The Interrupters), and has worked with multiple non-profit organizations across Chicagoland, helping take their videos and online marketing efforts to the next level.

She has had over 5 years of experience teaching beginners the basics of digital video production and storytelling and truly enjoys sharing what she knows.
