Summer Seed Saving!
TOP RATED
Fitness & Wellness
You know about canning and freezing to preserve your summer bounty, so you can enjoy it all year round. But if you have a garden of any kind -- from a small, window-sill plant collection to a full fledged till-and-harvest -- there's one aspect of saving summer you might not have considered.
This Dabble workshop is an introduction to the process of seed saving. Students will learn how to pluck and preserve prized keepsakes from their veggie and flower gardens to use to replant for the next growing season.
We'll learn how to plant the same fruits, vegetables or herbs year after year for no cost. We'll discuss how to collect seeds from your garden, mother nature and even the grocery store(!) so you can create your own personal seed bank to pull from for personal use and to seed-swap with friends.
