Event Overview

If you have always wanted to know the basics of Wordpress, which is a platform that allows you to build your own website, this is a great class to take.

8 months ago I started my own Web Development company and have been apart of the creation of over 10 Wordpress sites, ranging from Real Estate sites, to Music Blogs, to Restaurant websites.

In this class I will go over the following things:

1. How to get started by purchasing a domain name.
2. How to look for a theme/template that has the functionality you need to make your idea come to life.
3. How to setup up your new theme/template on your hosting service (I will be using Godaddy as an example).
4. How to create simple pages.
5. How to work with Plugins and Widgets (Wordpress is famous for its ability for anyone to create an "Add-On" to give your site more functionality. I will be showing you how to utilize these Add-Ons)

Wordpress is a fairly simple platform to use to create your site and coding is not needed! (When you get into more complex functionality, coding will play a role ;))
