Event Overview

Traditional baking is an exact science with time-honored techniques. When it comes to gluten-free baking, however, many new factors come into play and often key tenets of standard baking no longer apply.


In this class, you will get hands-on with Chef Sarah Russo as she shares her gluten-free baking techniques that you should know in order to turn out baked goods that look and taste great. 


You will leave with 3 dessert skills: muffins, cookies, and cake.

Chef Sarah Russo is a Holistic Certified Chef from Chicago, IL. As a former vegan, Chef Sarah’s cooking style is firmly rooted (haha) in plant-based cuisine. Her background is in therapeutic and healing foods that are functional and delicious. Her favorite cuisine is farm-to-table: seasonal, plentiful, and relatable. Sarah specialized in baking with whole ingredients that avoid gluten and grains. When Sarah is not cooking, you can find her spinning at Soul Cycle, listening to music with friends, or playing with her two cats, Taco and Wheezy.
