Grab a guitar and join in Thursdays @ 7pm FEBRUARY 16 thru MAY 4
The Brimfield Gallery is a cozy and unique place to learn a few songs and add puzzle pieces to your theory/fretboard knowledge. Class topics and tunes are accessible to anyone who can play a few chords, but folks just beginning may consider a private lesson before joining the moderate pace of a class.
Discussions focus on building a core structure of essentials and are largely guided by class questions and inspirations. Songs are drawn from a variety of genres and styles while we focus on developing key skills and confidence.

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
I've loved music and been eager to express it in whatever way for as long as I can remember. My first big musical impressions were the R&B, pop, and country records laying around the house when I was a kid and continue to be stylistic themes in alot of what I do musically and in the classroom.
My first real instrument was drum kit at 6 years old and, tho I started focusing on guitar at 7, that strong rhythmic urge greatly informs my guitar technique and songwriting.
I've taught professionally since 1995 and have developed a chord-based music teaching style that caters to the desired direction of an individual or class while building a good and usable theory/fretboard structure.
I am currently teaching at Classes on Clark Thursday nights @ 7:00, enjoying my 19th year at The Old Town School Of Folk Music, offering private lessons Sat-Thu, recording constantly, and am a member of two Chicago bands, Jagweeds and Vandabobs.
