Explore songs of the folk fingerstyle/flatpicking traditions defined by Chet, Lightnin', Doc, & others.
This is a 12-week series that will meet every Thursday @ 12Noon from May 25 thru August 10. Registration fee includes all 12 classes.
Classes On Clark currently offers 5 classes that, together, represent a solid core musicianship curriculum for any style of guitarist:
Weekly class times are: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday @ 12 Noon and Wednesday/Thursday @ 7 PM. Attend any single class for just $20, feel free to message me to arrange or book through Dabble here.
Each class title occupies one of the 5 day/time spots for a 12-Week Series, then rotates to another day/time for the following series, increasing your chances of getting to each class in good time.
Also, consider a weekly class simply as a weekly visit with 5 class/time options, allowing you to customize your class visits to your necessity and/or whimsy. Of course, you're welcome to stick with your favorite class for the whole series, or you can mix, match, and do explorative make-up classes as you please. Want to visit more than one class a week? I fully support that AND offer discounts!

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
I've loved music and been eager to express it in whatever way for as long as I can remember. My first big musical impressions were the R&B, pop, and country records laying around the house when I was a kid and continue to be stylistic themes in much of what I do musically and in the classroom.
My first real instrument was drum kit at 6 years old and, tho I started focusing on guitar at 7, that strong rhythmic urge greatly informs my guitar technique and songwriting.
I've taught professionally since 1995 and have developed a chord-based music teaching style that caters to the desired direction of an individual or class while building a good and usable theory/fretboard structure.
I am currently teaching at Classes on Clark Thursday nights @ 7:00, enjoying my 19th year at The Old Town School Of Folk Music, offering private lessons Saturday - Thursday, recording constantly, and am a member of two Chicago bands, Jagweeds and Vandabobs.
