Event Overview

It is never too late to learn to cook and it is our mission to make sure you have the opportunity! Join Sarah, our Cooking At Home Specialist, as she teaches you all you need to know about how to successfully cook proteins at home. Learn tips on cooking beef, poultry, pork, eggs and beans. All skills welcomed. Come hungry because you will be eating your creations throughout the class. The class includes take-home recipe cards. If you participate in 6 Basic Skills Classes, you will get a 7th class for FREE. See COOKING School Team Member for a punch card.

    This was my first Basic Skills class, and it was well worth it! The instructors were so friendly and knowledgeable, and they pack a lot of activity into the class time. You get full portions of each protein you're given to cook, but you're given to-go boxes at the end for whatever you can't finish. Now that I have some tips for cooking, I'd love a class on how to select the right cuts of meat for your recipe. Hope to be back for another class soon!

    This was a wonderful class! We learned about so many different kinds of food. There was lots of hands on work, whole group demo and lots to eat! Highly recommend!

    This class was worth every penny!
    A. You eat a lot of delicious food
    B. You get even more delicious food to take home
    C. You learn a lot about cooking and nutrition
    I kind of wish I'd known it was byob and that we'd basically be in pairs because I would have brought a friend and some wine! But even without the wine and a buddy I still had a great time and I'd highly recommend!
