Homemade Vinegar Shrubs
TOP RATED
Food & Drink
Shrubs, once a staple on the colonial American table, have recently come back into style.
A simple mixture of fruit, sweetener, and vinegar, their sweet and sour flavors make a refreshing and tasty addition to water or cocktails. Shrubs are an excellent way to experiment with different flavor combinations, as well as a great way to use seasonal fruits at the peak of ripeness.
We'll sample three different shrubs as we nosh on light snacks, while creating a batch to take home and discussing how to determine hydration needs for individuals. Hydration is key, especially as we move into the warmer months, and adding homemade shrubs to your water makes an optimal daily intake more interesting.
