Improv: to fear or not to fear? Fear not. While you may not aspire to star on the main stage of Second City, improv, as it turns out, has benefits galore. Beyond just that of pure entertainment.
In this class, Dabblers curious about improvisation will get a first pass at trying their hand at it. Not only can it contribute to overcoming stage fright, improv can also help you improve listening and communication skills, enhance your public speaking abilities and even heighten creative energies.
This class is for beginners and those with little to no experience. Expect a fun, safe environment to learn basic improv skills and how they apply to a more creative life.

Ashley has been improvising for more than ten years. She moved to Chicago to pursue her MA in Performance Studies at Northwestern University and has studying and performing comedy throughout the city ever since. Currently, she can be found performing at Second City on Saturday nights in #Hashtag, You're It! and teaching in their Outreach and Diversity program. Ashley believes that anyone can be great at improvising, because anyone can learn to listen and communicate more effectively!
