Event Overview

Now is your chance to learn how to make delicious Indian food from someone who is willing to share their cherished family recipes!

Instructor Angelica Pitroda is a home cook who has been cooking Indian cuisine for many years. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to shop for, and prepare common ingredients used in Indian cuisine. Together, we’ll make three dishes:

* Chana Masala – A flavorful dish made of chick peas and a mixture of several Indian spices

* Roti - Homemade Indian bread (similar to tortilla) made of whole wheat flour and topped with gee (clarified butter)

* Mango lassi – Made with mango and homemade yogurt

Come hungry- we’ll sit down to enjoy our feast at the end of class. This class is BYOB.

The class was great! For $25, you can't find a better value. The space was huge, clean, and we were surrounded by volunteers helping us with suggestions, providing needed ingredients, etc. The instructor was knowledgeable about Indian food and gave some great tips. It was such a fun, relaxed atmosphere. We'll definitely be back for another class!
