MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST

Alicia has her Masters in Counseling Psychology and has been working with kids and families for 30 years and with pets and their people for 15 years. She currently counsels families on pet care issues through the non-profit she started 3 years ago called Pets Are Like Family. This organization helps pet parents with limited resources care for their pets. This year, Alicia has started her own business, Pitter Patter Parenting, to help families manage kids and pets. She encourages safe and healthy relationships, while honoring the bond that people have with their pets. Alicia has recently become certified as a pet loss counselor through the Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement. She hopes to help pet parents work through grief and find peace with the loss of their pet.
