Food & Drink
Now is your chance to learn how to make delicious Mexican food from someone who is willing to share their cherished family recipes! Instructor Angelica Pitroda is a home cook who has been cooking Mexican cuisine for most of her life. In this hands on class, you’ll learn how to shop for, and prepare common ingredients used in Mexican cuisine (such as cactus). Together, we’ll make three dishes:
Cactus Tacos with Beans and Pico De Gallo
Bunuelos (a special Mexican dessert)
Come hungry- we’ll sit down to enjoy our feast at the end of class. This class is BYOB.

Angelica is home cook who loves to cook her native Mexican cuisine as well as other cuisines such as Indian. Her last “Taste Test” Series class on Indian Cuisine was a big hit! Most of the dishes she cooks have been handed down from family recipes. Last year she founded Native Spice, a food company inspired by the fresh, wholesome ingredients provided by mother earth and developed a delicious Roasted Tomatillo salsa/chutney/dip/marinade sauce. She hopes it will be available for purchase at a market near you in the near future. Check out her Facebook page at Native Spice Kitchen.
