Event Overview

In this class you will make a beautiful tiled plate.  A mosaic plate is a great starter project for people interested in learning how to make mosaics. You will be employing all the skills you can use on larger, more elaborate mosaics like using adhesive and cutting tiles but you will make something in a manageable size that will take a short amount of time.

I have lots of pretty tiles in assorted colors and textures to choose from. You can also bring items from home to incorporate into your piece.  A mosaic piece needs to be grouted, so I will demonstrate how to grout the plates and send you home with some grout. You can choose to do the grouting part at home, or we can talk during class about whether people want to come over and grout their plate with me. If you have used grout before (like on a bathroom project or something like that) you will be comfortable doing it on your own, but you may also want a more hands-on lesson and I am open to having people come back over for the grouting part if they are interested.

We will be using messy glue so you want to wear comfortable clothes or bring a smock.
