Event Overview

Organizational Design and Effectiveness:

The practice of leadership has undergone revolutionary change over the last decade. Managing any organization requires competency for deploying people into the correct organizational structures enabling optimum performance. These classes provides an overview of various designs, how to fit designs with business strategy.

The course is conducted over a weekend beginning Friday evening at 6 pm and concluding Sunday afternoon at 3 pm.

Friday Evening - 3 hours (6 pm to 9 pm)

Class 1 - Introductions
Class 2 - History of Organizational Design

Saturday - 7 hours (8 am to 3 pm, with working lunch)

Class 3 - Drivers of Organizational Design
Class 4 - Why Organizational Design is Important
Class 5 - STAR Model
Class 5 - Matching Strategy to Design

Sunday 6 hours (9 am to 3 pm with working lunch)

Class 6 - Structural Design Types
Class 7 - Customer Centric Designs
Class 8 - Virtual Organizational Designs
Class 9 - Continuous Designs and Implementation

Dr. Stephen A. Di Biase is President and owner of Premier Insights, LLC a management consultancy, and has served in executive roles for the past 35 years. As President of Premier Insights, LLC, Dr. Di Biase teaches leaders how to make innovation a discipline through specific skills anyone can learn. In addition, this class teaches how to increase employee effectiveness by aligning organizational structures with business strategies.

He has over 20 patents, has mentored senior professionals and has taught innovation and human resource management in both corporate and university settings. He has guest lectured at several academic institutions and has authored numerous patents, corporate publications ad his most recent publication is a textbook titled: “Applied Innovation: A Handbook” which will be available in early 2015.
