Mothers Day Saturday: Coffee Painting & Pie!

Arts & DIY
Coffee is not only for drinking- it can be an art medium, as well.
In this special (and relaxed) workshop, we will join at a lovely, lively local cafe (Hoosier Mama / Dollop in Evanston). I will give instruction on using coffee as a sketch medium- it works much like sepia ink and can be used to create beautiful images on watercolor paper. We will enjoy good company, good food and drink while we sketch. Sketch the scenery, your neighbor across the table, even your coffee cup!
Wouldn't a portrait of your Mama done in beautiful coffee tones be a great Mothers Day gift? Bring a photo of your Mom, or bring your Mom and paint her portrait from life! This promises to be a delightful workshop, and could be the perfect fun experience to treat yourself and your creative Mom!
Materials for coffee sketching will be provided. Bring your favorite drawing implement, or just your coffee money--and save some room for pie!
