Event Overview

Drab, fluorescent lighting is the mortal enemy of all fledgling photographers. It can turn even the prettiest model a weird tinted shade of yellow … and if you’re not careful, can ruin an otherwise perfect picture. And flash settings? Don’t get us started!

After students have mastered the basics of outdoor photography through our 101 and 201 classes, they’ll be heading indoors to learn the ins and outs of setting their cameras up to shoot inside. Dabblers will explore the differences between indoor and outdoor photography, and be introduced to flash photography. Class time will be dedicated to understanding the relationships between aperture, shutter speed, ISO and flash in regards to shooting in artificial light. Prepare to have a battle of epic proportions with indoor lighting, and leave satisfied knowing you’ve kicked it’s a**!

(After being crowned victorious in this battle, students are encouraged to move on to the Photography 202: Advanced Photography class that will immediately follow.)

Printing and framing is optional, but is not required or included in the cost of the class.
