Event Overview
It's a month into the new year, and you are still trying to figure our your SLR. You know, the one that's supposed to be a game changer for you. After flipping through the manual and trying to navigate the internal menus, your vision to be your family's go to photographer this year seems a bit more daunting. Sometimes we just really need a quick lesson in person where someone can help us troubleshoot.
This 90 minute class will cover the very basic modes of your digital SLR and which settings you actually need to understand and dial in to get the results you want. We'll simplify the process and talk about how to get those killer images. You'll leave understanding the basics of focus, exposure and composition. We'll spend some time getting comfortable with the semi-automatic modes of your camera and set you up perfectly to start dabbling in manual mode.

Jenn is a photographer in the Chicagoland area who has been shooting professionally for 9 years. She started her own business in 2009 and serves a wide variety of clients for events, weddings, portraits, and corporate work. She began teaching Beginning Digital Photography at the Chicago Botanic Garden in 2012 and continued to do so for 2.5 years. She brings a down to earth approach to a complex subject matter so that her students, particularly beginners, feel empowered as they learn new skills.
Jenn is also a number of several industry associations including the Professional Photographers of America and Wedding and Portrait Photographers International.
