Event Overview

Hands-on experience with the most powerful graphics software available. We'll run through all the main tools and features of Photoshop and I'll explain the basic process of creating a new project from scratch as well as opening and editing an existing project.

After quick introductions and gathering student familiarity with the software, I'll take a half-hour to walk through different aspects of the software. Please ask questions during this process if you have them! After the introduction, I'll walk through two scenarios for image creation: creating a graphic from scratch; opening and adding elements to an existing photograph. This will be a group activity and I'll be able to help you along the way.

The course structure is as free-flowing as it needs to be. I've been working professionally as both a photographer and a designer with Photoshop for over 13 years. I can happily teach and tailor the lesson in a variety of ways.

Please come to the class with a laptop and a version of Photoshop installed. You can find a free trial on the Adobe website (latest version is Adobe Photoshop CC 2014) or you can purchase a subscription on a month-to-month basis.
