Event Overview

Do you see stories in the world around you? Do you want to work with other people to bring those stories to life? Learn to use the spaces and people that pique your curiosity as the inspiration to write a short play, by extracting and shaping the dramatic situations that are already there. Grab a drink from the bar and join us as we go over the basics of character, dialogue, and story arc, and how they function in the world of playwriting. Then a series of writing exercises and The Drinkingbird itself will help you jumpstart your own short play, and leave with the tools to keep going.
