Event Overview

Faces Only is part drawing group, part social activity. This is your chance to hang out with other artists, compare and contrast drawing styles, and learn new techniques from your fellow artists. We chat, have food & drink, and practice our portrait skills with one another. It is one of those rare occasions when you can view your subject up close, because we will all serve as both artists and models.

Faces Only starts with a demo from artist Dean Johnson. Then, there is a portrait-drawing exercise. We then engage in a fun and frenetic "Group Draw." Finally, we slow down and take turns modeling for the group.

Keep all the drawings you make during the workshop, or trade drawings with the other artists. This could be your opportunity to walk away with an original portrait of yourself made by another talented artist!
