Event Overview
Bring in that article of clothing you keep meaning to fix. We will show you some basic alterations so you can save your clothing previously doomed for goodwill. Alteration demos include basic hems, taking in/letting out seams, sewing buttons, mending holes. Then we will focus on your personal project(s). We utilize both hand sewing and machine sewing. No experience necessary.

With 10 years experience in corporate and small business apparel, fashion designer Anna Hovet is one of most recognized names in Chicago fashion. Anna earned her BFA from SAIC (where she now teaches). After graduating, she worked for a large corporate company, Kids Headquarters, where she designed layette for Ecko, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, and Target. In 2009 she founded Anna Hovet Designs, an athleisure fashion line manufactured in Chicago and sold around the world. Anna also teaches fashion illustration at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
