Hand Sew Your Own Meditation Cushion
TOP RATED
Arts & DIY
In this class, you get to join with a small group of sewers -- new and old -- to create your very own meditation cushion. If you've wanted to create your own meditation cushion but needed the motivation or just someone to show you how, join us for the afternoon. You will:
1. Learn Basic Handstitching Techniques
2. Learn How to Use Sewing as a Meditative Practice
3. Create a Round Meditation Cushion (also known as a Zafu)
Attendees get to select from several fabrics, cut out the pattern, do the sewing, and stuff the zafu with the cotton provided.
The zafu design is an open-pocket style with pleated sides so that the stuffing can easily be added and removed allowing for easier washing. The open-pocket design is also a much simpler design to sew so that new sewers will feel just as comfortable as those who have been sewing for awhile.
All ages welcome
The cost of the class includes the fabric and the cotton stuffing to create your cushion.
