Event Overview

Goat Milk soap is a really amazing soap that is a gentle cleanser, rich in nutrients, free from harsh chemicals, and has been called a "skin care superfood."  It is also a little more tricky to make goat milk soap than regular cold process soap.  For that reason, this is a private class where you will make two 2-pound loaves of goat milk soap and 2 tins of beeswax salve as  a private lesson.  You can sign up and bring a friend, or make the two batches or soap and salves on your own.

We will use fresh goat milk, palm oil, coconut oil and olive oil to make our soap. The salve is made from oils and beeswax. I have an assortment of different scents (both essential oils and fragrance oils) and herbs to choose from and so you can customize the soap and the salve. 

Some possible combinations:  lavender and oatmeal soap, peppermint and eucalyptus soap colored with turmeric, eucalyptus and peppermint salve for sinus relief, lavender salve for sleeping, etc.  You are free to come up with any combination you choose, but I can give you some guidance about what properties the different essential oils will contribute to your creations.

I have a few dates and times on the schedule, but I am very open to other times.  Just send me a message and let me know when you are looking for a class.

Also, the soap needs to rest overnight.  After that I can deliver it to you if you live in Chicago or you can pick it up.  If you absolutely have to take it with you you can message me ahead of time and I can instruct you on what to bring to transport it home safely.

What's Provided

Everything will be provided If you have a certain essential oil or fragrance oil you'd like to bring you can use it in your soap.
