Education
Minimize your ecological footprint and reduce household waste by letting worms eat your garbage! Red wigglers consume their weight in fruit and veggie scraps every day and can double their population in as little as three months.
In this class, Dabblers will construct their own urban worm bins specifically geared for apartment and condo dwellers. Students will leave with a basic understanding of vermi-composting, why worms are "vegetarian," and how to implement a household composting system without leaving the city.
Gloves, if desired, and clothes that can get dirty.

Kelli teaches several classes at Pursuit Supply and has been creating since she was four years old, sewing quilts at her grandmother's side. An avid crafter, she is involved in and deeply committed to the Chicago handmade community, serving as the Director of the Urban Folk Circuit, Chicago's only year-round, traveling craft market series.
Kelli lives in Portage Park, in a thoughtful community, where they work to cultivate their big, red urban farmhouse into an inspiring homestead through canning organic vegetables from their raised bed gardens, composting, and raising a small flock of chickens.
