Romy Pereira
Owner of Tea Time Loves You, studied to be a pastry chef at the top pastry school in the country, The French Pastry School. She went on to work in the kitchens and dining rooms of Eleven Madison Park, NYC (recently named best restaurant in the world,) Aria Casino and Resort, Las Vegas (Five Star, Five Diamond Hotel) and was maitre D’ at Spiaggia, Chicago (Michelin Star Recipient.)
She is a third generation Afternoon Tea entrepreneur. Her Grandmother, Elena is credited with bringing Afternoon Tea to her home country of Bolivia. In a time of hardship, she borrowed a few tables and chairs from friends and family, and the nuns at the abbey downtown lent her a street-facing space. Since then, her tea room still runs almost sixty years later. Tea Time runs in the family, having been passed down for generations.
With this legacy as inspiration, and over ten years in Fine Dining and hospitality, Romy brings afternoon tea to leisure lovers in Chicago and the Palm Springs Area.
