Are you ready to put down your device and make something with your hands? Good news! I can help you.

In just a few hours, you will know how to read a pattern, get a piece ready, stitch it and walk away with a new hobby for 2016.

Bonus! You can drink some craft beer (or soda) and meet some new people.

Cross Stitch is an easy-to-learn, counted-thread embroidery technique. I will teach you everything you need to know to start creating impressive works of thread-based genius.

By the end of the class you will have completed your first cross stitch marvel.

I will have all the supplies, teach you everything you need to know and you will start making within minutes! So let's do this.

This class was great! As someone who has never crossed stiched before I was slightly nervous. I walked away confident in my new skills and created an adorable dinosaur cross stitch! I predict a lot of cross stitch gifts for my friends in the distant future.

Shannon is true to her Instagram alter ego, Badass Cross Stitch! She put on one hell of a Cross Stitch 101 class, making us all feel comfortable with the craft — even those of us who had never picked up a needle and thread before — and giving us all an excellent break from our daily digital overload. I've already finished my first little stitching project and can't wait to start my next.

This was a great class. I went by myself and right away met delightful people at my table. Learning the basics of crosstitching was easy with the instructor's helpful steps to get started and enabled the opportunity to feel creative and productive right away with this new skill. Good value for the supplies and knowledge shared.

Shannon was a great teacher! She was engaging, explained things well and was very funny. I've been working on my project since and plan to finish it and try some other patterns. I'm very happy with my experience.

Shannon is an awesome teacher, and this was a really great class. Shannon gave a great presentation for how to cross stitch, provided awesome resources, and was super helpful to everyone in the class who had questions. Highly recommend!
