Event Overview

Did you know that laughing 100 times roughly equals 15 minutes on an exercise bike? Or that the levels of two stress hormones, cortisol and epinephrine, which suppress the body's immune system, will actually drop after a dose of laughter?

There are a plethora of physical and mental benefits associated with simple laughter!

So, in this 3.5 hour workshop, you will rediscover joy, connect to complete strangers (aka new friends) through humor, abandon doubt, embrace your natural self, and overcome your fears to play as wholeheartedly as you did when you were a child.

One of Rooted's founding facilitators, Freddie, will guide you through various exercises & games pulled from improvisation, movement, voice, and clown, that will challenge your imagination and rekindle the simplest human pleasure: laughter. You can expect a safe and judgment-free environment where you can really tap into your playful nature and allow yourself to embrace silliness! Go forward from this workshop feeling more comfortable with yourself, more confident in your actions, more connected with your sense of humor, and more alive in every moment of your life.
