Event Overview

“I love your shirt. Where’d you find it?”
“$5. Thrift store last weekend.”

These conversations leave you sheepishly scratching your head. How come your high hopes are continuously dashed when you walk away from a thrift store with a $0.50 book, when you thought you’d find that hidden gem that would bring your living room to life?

In this class, Dabblers will learn the basics of spotting vintage in the mass chaos of a thrift store with just a few simple steps. Key identifying factors of vintage garments will be discussed, including how to determine if an item will fit without trying it on, and how to care for your finds once you take them home.

This class will meet at The Green Eye, a bar near the Western Blue Line stop, and continue on to the Village Discount Outlet, a great thrift store within walking distance.
