Congratulations Savvy Bride! This is the most exciting time of your life! You are probably still caught up in a whirlwind of romance and anticipation. Your head may still be spinning and you may have become overwhelmed with the responsibility of planning all of the details that go into planning a wedding. Take a deep breathe…we can help!
Join us for an intimate, hands-on wedding planning workshop hosted by L’ Shanell Events in partnership with LakeShore Photography & Video. This workshop will equip newly engaged and mid-planning couples with the right tools to plan a fabulous wedding.
L’ Shanell Events and the amazing panel of top wedding professionals will guide you on the next steps after getting engaged. We will answer questions and share expert advice, wedding planning secrets and exclusive discounts that will reduce costs, time and stress.
This workshop will cover realistic budgeting, photography, cakes, venue and vendor selection, stationery, hair and makeup, décor, florals, food and beverage, organization and much more. We offer valuable tips on how to put a plan together that will work for you.
Be sure to bring paper and a pen for note taking.

Latoya Shanell, CMP has a blended and dynamic background with more than 11 years of experience in corporate meetings, events, marketing and project management across a variety of industries. Outside of her day-to-day corporate event planning career, she plans weddings and social events through her small business, L’ Shanell Events. As a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Ms. Shanell has achieved a level of experience and education that represents the industry’s highest standard of professionalism. In 2015, Ms. McCreary was named as a top event industry leader under 40 on Collaborate magazine, “40 Under 40” list, which honors the top young event industry professionals. Ms. Shanell is a member of Meeting Professional International (MPI), Chicago Area Chapter and volunteers as a social media coordinator for the career ministry at Victory Cathedral Worship Center. Ms. Shanell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and a communications minor from Northern Illinois University as well as a professional meeting and event planning certificate from Harper College.
