Event Overview

Strength Clinic 


This clinic is geared toward intermediate to advanced athletes.  In this clinic, Fitness Trainer Simon Hyun will demonstrate key exercises that target specific muscle groups in an effort to optimize strength, help prevent injury, and help improve race times.  Participants will be practicing the exercises at the clinic so that they can be performed later.


Nutrition talk/Discussion


This talk is geared toward athletes looking to build muscle in the gym as well as anyone training for a longer distance run (half marathon and up), bike or triathlon. I, Kristi Battalini, will be discuss fueling philosophies, adequate caloric intake, hydration and electrolyte replacement, pre- and post-exercise fueling and more!

What's Provided

Resistance bands and weights provided. Students will also leave with a recipe folder.

I am an ultra endurance athlete who believes training involves being able to nourish and the replenish the body with the right foods. I have studied and received certificates in nutrition through Matthew Kenny Culinary Institute including Plant based nutrition for Athletes and Culinary Nutrition. I believe that eating is an intensely personal act and I strive to help others find their healthiest selves.

Simon HYUN
Simon is personal trainer certified with NASM. Simon has spent the last 17 years learning about the ever-evolving health and fitness trends. Simon is known to push his clients beyond what they imagine they can do, resulting in fitter, more confident individuals. Simon strives to not only help others build stronger bodies, but also build stronger people. Simon trains clients one on one and in small group settings.
