Yureka Yoga Company & L& A Healing Studio is offering a 4-week series on Yoga & Art for children!
Yureka Yoga Company takes an integrative and holistic approach to children’s health and well-being through the science of Yoga. Yureka Yoga’s vision is to actively involve children in their own health & wellness. Founder, Maria Macnab, teaches children how and why integrating yoga, meditation, and healthy habits into their daily lives can keep their body-healthy, mind-positive, and spirit-strong.
Alex Agudo owner of L & A Healing Studio passions for life is jewelry, history, languages, different cultures, music, and travel. With over 12 years of experience jewelry making and teaching. He shares his passion & knowledge as a form of art therapy to bring joy, creative expression, into the daily lives of others.
4-week series on Yoga & Art for Children
When: Saturday's: March 11th, March 18th, March 25th, April 1st
Time: 11:00a.m-1:00p.m
Ages: 5-7(8 spots available) & 8-12(8 spots available) (please note: students will be separated based on age for each session of Yoga & Art)

Class structure:
Children will participate in 60 minutes of Yureka Yoga with Maria Macnab. All students will learn the classic Hatha Poses, partner poses, breath awareness, relaxation, and mindfulness practices that will improve mental, physical, and emotional health.
Children will participate in 60 minutes of Art with Alex Agudo, owner of L & Healing Studio. The Art class isn't your typical "Arts & Craft" class you see at other places! In fact, it is quite sophisticated and technique driven. Alex uses materials & supplies that are of high quality, durable, and unique. Children will be engaged in a creative process that most never get the opportunity to learn.

Maria Macnab has been practicing Yoga since 2003 and teaching Yoga to children for 3 years within a Chicago Public School. Maria is a certified Yoga teacher for Adults & Children as well as a Chicago Public School Director. Maria has a 200-hour certification training from Tejas Yoga Studio, a 95 hour Children’s Specialty Certification & 50-hour Therapeutic Certification through Global Family Yoga. Maria holds her Master’s Degree and Type 04 teaching certification in Early Childhood Education from Erikson Institute. Maria combines her knowledge of child development and the science of Yoga to create high quality classes for children that are engaging, fun, & safe.
