Event Overview
People spend quite a bit of time online these days, in fact that's what you are doing at this very moment. As useful and entertaining as it is to walk the modern streets of cyberspace, it's necessary to keep in mind some of the same personal security concerns that you would while walking the real streets. Whether you only spend a small amount of time on your computer or you consider yourself pretty technologically savvy, there is certainly something you can gain from this class.
We will be covering practical tips that anyone can implement with a minimum of effort as well as more complex methods and even some hypothetical techniques. Bringing your laptop is encouraged but not necessary and you won't be expected to lug a desktop along with you. After this class you will be better able to protect your privacy, secure your online business, and safely use your computer in public.
