Event Overview

Take your garden to the next level with a handmade set of plant markers using drawing, painting, and hand lettering techniques on salvaged wood.


You'll choose from three basic designs as your hosts, painter Kelley Schei and woodworker Heather Mullins of Relevant ReUse, guide you through techniques to complete your set, or go rogue with your own design.


All materials and basic instruction provided, feel free to BYOB!

Kelley Schei is an award-winning, internationally exhibited painter who recently completed residencies in Vermont, Italy and Iceland. She has a MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and works from her Denver-based studio. She has taught at museums and universities, but believes that the venue doesn't matter and that anyone can learn to paint in a meaningful and aesthetically interesting way.
