Nothing says “love” like a hand-made valentine! 

Join letterpress printer Brian Wood of Dogs & Stars for an introductory course in letterpress printing on Saturday, February 4 from 11am-3pm. 

Students will learn basic letterpress techniques such as typesetting to print their own set of 10 valentines (or Singles Awareness Day cards) to share with friends or loved ones. Print your favorite valentine quote using antique wood type, ornaments and borders on antique presses.

    Brian Wood is definitely passionate about letterpress. He clearly explained how to compose our script. There was a wide variety of typefaces to choose from and unique carved printing blocks too. Everyone had plenty of time to use the press and print several different cards. It was a blast!
