Event Overview
Got yourself a new camera and want to learn how to use it? Want to take great photos of your kids, your hikes and vacations or even your dog? Well then this class is for you. Learn the basics of digital photography with professional photographer, Jessica Christie.This hands-on class will guide you through how to not only use the basic settings on your camera, but also give you tips for capturing all those special moments in your life beautifully.
We will first focus on photography basics and how to change your settings on your camera to achieve great results. From there, we will go over what makes a great photo through exposure, composition and lighting. To finish, we will go on a walkabout to practice what we've learned and answer any questions because the best way to learn photography is by doing it!

- Aperture, ISO & Shutter Speed.
- How to balance the exposure equation.
- Lighting situations.
- Preparing to shoot.
- Focusing your camera.

- Quick editing tips and tricks.
Feel free to bring your own beverage. I will be providing some light snacks and likely drikning some vino!
This class is best for new and hobbiest photographers with a DSLR camera or an advanced point and shoot camera with manual settings. Not sure if your camera works for this class, shoot me a message!
