Event Overview
Learn how to create your own stamp using natural or repurposed materials. Local professional artist, Christa MacFarlane, will teach the basics of creating stamps. This class is for beginners but any level of experience is welcome. Take home your handmade stamp(s) to continue your artistic impressions! For more fun, bring your hand made stamps to use when you enroll in her monoprinting class. Join Christa in experiencing how much fun the creative process can be in a relaxed and encouraging environment! (NOTE: This class is also provided on a different date at a different location.)
In this workshop you will learn to:

Instruction, supplies and snacks are included and you will go home with your finished project and the feeling of being inspired through creating and connecting!
What You Can Expect From This Experience
- -make stamps out of a variety of materials
- -use ink & paints to create different effects
- -stamp prints on a variety of surfaces
- -create several prints in one class

“Powerful things can happen when people gather to create and connect…at the very least you’ll have fun and learn something new!” This is a passionate statement by Christa MacFarlane, a local professional artist and artist for life. MacFarlane received her BFA degree as a design major at the University of Kansas. Throughout 2014 she painted two paintings a week for an entire year, completed her body of work and launched her art career. She is represented by two Denver Gallery’s selling her paintings throughout the U.S. and internationally as well. Once she retired from fifteen years as an art educator in the private and public school system, she continued to inspire others by leading a variety of creative classes throughout Denver.
