Event Overview
Learn basic clay hand-building techniques or polish up on your own hand-building skills & put them to work to design and create 1 or 2 ceramic pieces!
Basic building techniques will be demonstrated including slab and coil pottery, and then participants can make 1 or 2 projects of their choice: mug, bowl, vase, candle holder, etc., with choice of glaze colors and decoration. Lots of room for creativity!
This workshop is designed for beginners to moderately advanced potters.
All tools and materials are included, as well as the cost of firing(s).
Completed work will be available to be picked up at The Waxwing 1-2 weeks after the workshop.

MORE ABOUT YOUR HOST
Workshop leader is Barbara Hill of Hills of Clay Pottery. Barb has been working with clay for over ten years, including three years of classes at the Mesa Arts Center in Mesa, Arizona. Recently relocated back to her home state of Wisconsin, she has a small home studio in Milwaukee where she plays with mud and fire as often as possible.
