Join Liz Layne Yoga + Megan of Mala Magick for a Custom 108 Bead Mala-Making class at River North Workshop.
In this workshop you will learn about:
*History and traditions of mala-making
*Caring for your mala
*How to use your mala
And you will make your own custom mala necklace! After registering for this class, Liz and Megan will work with you to help you choose the perfect stone type for your necklace.
All materials are provided for you to make your very own mala necklace and take it home.
Your investment of $75 includes light refreshments and all materials to make your mala necklace. If you'd like to bring a snack or drink to share with the group, please do!
We will meet at 12pm on January 5th/5:30pm on March 6th for a short introduction and then create our malas. We have 3.5 hours reserved for this workshop to allow ample time, but you are welcome to leave when your mala is complete.
As space is limited to 10 people, early registration is encouraged.

Megan (of Mala Magick) is a Colorado native who creates authentic gemstone malas for healing and meditation. She handcrafts each mala with intention. Find Megan on Instagram at @mala_magick
Liz (of Liz Layne Yoga) is a Yoga Alliance RYT-200 and Leadership Coach based in Denver, CO. As a yoga teacher, Liz guides wellness-curious adults to explore the practice of yoga + meditation and create balance within each aspect of their lives. What's Provided
All materials provided for your necklace (108 beads, guru bead, thread & tassel) as well as light refreshments. Please feel free to bring a drink or snack to share with the group!

I knew very little about mala before class, and I walked away not just with a beautiful, high-quality necklace that I was proud of, but also with knowledge of the history, the significance of the beads, and how to use my mala. Often times I get anxious in group classes, trying to complete things in a hurry, but the teachers are patient and passionate and it was easy to feel relaxed, their energy was great and infectious. I went with two friends and we all just had the best time. Thank you, Liz and Megan!

The instructors were incredibly patient untying all my messed up knots. The selection of beads was lovely, and the information on the history and use of malas was thorough. I’m very pleased with the mala I created, and use it daily. Highly recommend this class.

Liz and Megan are wonderfully patient teachers. They provided the tools and supplies needed to create beautiful Malas. This class is truly a focused and calming experience. We learned about the history and significance of our bead choice and tying of the string with intention. It was a fantastic class and a wonderful experience.

Megan and Liz were super supportive teachers and I enjoyed taking this class with them. I had never made a mala before and didn't realize it was as time intensive as it is! Eat before you come and get ready to settle in! It was very helpful to have hands-on support available to trouble shoot the process. I'm excited to make more on my own after finishing this class.

Class was really good. Teaching team worked well together and were both very patient. Only issue was it was difficult to sit for 3.5 hrs on a metal stool. There were many choices for beads and thread. Would do again.

Loved this class! I received a call ahead of time to discuss beads and what I was looking for. Both instructors really kept in mind what I was looking for and brought beads with my intentions in mind. Very informative class and I feel confident that I could now make a mala on my own. Thank you!

I love how my mala necklace turned out. Liz was great to supply the beads I requested. The class was informative and intimate. Great fellowship with the community learning something new and having a creative outlet to further my meditation practice. Will definitely attend again.
