Event Overview
If you're someone who is looking to make your writing look like the amazing Instagram post you just saw, then this is the workshop for you! In this class, you'll learn the basics of how to take your own handwriting and turn it into faux calligraphy. You'll also learn about the three font styles, techniques on how to make them your own, and how to mix the styles and add embellishments!
This is a virtual workshop so no matter where you live you can attend! I will be hosting via Zoom and I will email you the code to attend the day before. If it is your first time using Zoom, no worries, it is very user friendly and I will send over instructions to walk you through it.
Still feel free to bring a beverage with you!

What's Provided
A workbook that we'll go through during the workshop, extra practice sheets for you to take home, a pencil and two of my favorite pens, blank greeting card & envelopes for you to show off your new skills and send to a friend.

I really enjoyed the class! I now have a good foundation on what to practice, practice, practice to get better at Hand Lettering. The only thing that I didn't know going in, I thought we would be using brush pens since I got gifted those for my birthday and wanted to learn how to use them.

Class with Gwynn was great, and we received one on one attention. We started with the basics and moved through serif, sans serif, and ultimately cursive. Please note that this is a class for basic lettering, not brush calligraphy.

Gwynn was a rockstar!! She created a warm comfortable environment for the class. Her kind personality welcomed all questions, even if they were a little silly. The workbook and pens are the perfect tools for a beginners. I am very excited to explore this craft and hopefully will improve with time! 10/10 would take another class of hers!

Great class! Gwynn was super friendly and responsive to all of our questions and requests for demonstrations. Love that we got a book to take home to practice. I also loved that she reiterated that practice was the key to this, and that any of us can do it with patience and effort.

What a fun evening I had! The teacher is upbeat, always smiling, responsive to questions and very talented. Calligraphy and hand lettering requires a lot of practice, but also some technique. Gwynn give you the opportunity to feel confident, practice and acquire some tricks to get you going. She is very open with her knowledge and willing to share any tips which can make is easier. The booklet she has put together is very well done and such a great resource to take home, as well as the 2 pens and the note card which you create in class.
The venue is perfect: at the back of a plant shop in a really fun collective of artsy stores and restaurants.

Intro to Creative Hand Lettering was a fun experience. Gwynn was knowledgeable and friendly. She encouraged lots of questions and offered many practical tips. The class was a great mix of people, from those just wanting to learning something new to those who wanted a skill to use in their work. Getting 2 different pens and a blank card and envelope for further practice was a great bonus!
