Laughter Yoga is the practice of laughing for the health of it! It's not really like yoga at all, except for some deep breathing (to recover from chucking). One minute of belly laughter is worth three minutes on a rowing machine, it's so great for you!
Laughter yoga, or as I call it, laughter club, is getting together to giggle. We breathe, laugh, clap and play. No experience, equipment or abilities necessary. There's no stretching or poses but you do need an open mind. It's based on scientific research but it looks more like recess. There are about 6,000 clubs all over the world! Fake laughing encouraged, your body doesn't know the difference and you still reap all the benefits. The fee will go to pay for snacks, I never charge people to laugh :)
It helps you be in the moment, laugh for no reason, and breathe easier. Come learn about it, then try it!

My name is Emma, I love to laugh, and I am slowly realizing it might be the best thing I do for myself. I tried laughter yoga in 2008 when traveling in Greece (with a group of senior citizens who didn't speak English) and haven’t stopped since. I attend laughter clubs in St. Louis and am a certified laughter leader. It's good for me, it's joyful, and I think it's hilarious!
