Driftwood Wind Chime
TOP RATED
Arts & DIY
Learn how to transform a gnarly piece of driftwood from the Mississippi River into an eye-catching wind chime! Participants will learn how to use recycled glass, copper foil, flux, and lead-free solder to sculpt shapes that dangle from their piece of driftwood. Perennial staff will demonstrate how to safely use a glass cutter and grinder to create custom shapes from found glass. Then participants will learn how to drill holes in their driftwood to attach their pieces, creating a one-of-a-kind wind chime!
Note: This class requires hand strength and the use of a very hot tool. Patience, an eye for safety, and hand dexterity will help participants achieve their design goals.
