Learn to make an herb drying rack from reuse materials with Perennial and Gateway Greening. Matt from Gateway Greening will instruct participants on the basic techniques of drying various herbs. After his presentation, Theresa will instruct the class on some basic woodworking skills to construct a drying rack from picture frames, metal screen, leather belts, and found chain. We will learn about eco-friendly finishes as we apply Perennial’s food-safe wood wax to seal the wood. These racks will not only look beautiful in your kitchen, but will keep you in fresh supply of herbs from your garden year-round.
